Blood Donation Day (2nd term)
Students who were not eligible to give blood at our 1st Blood Donation Day had a chance to offer their generosity at our school’s 2nd Blood Donation Day. We are really grateful for the 64 students and teachers who gave their blood to save lives. We also hope that the activities will encourage our students to be more concerned about our society and be active participants in charity work.

The annual Reading Week aims at cultivating students’ motivation to read and encouraging the sharing of books and reading tips.
Ms Liang Mei Yun and Ms Chloe Fung are adjudicators in these inter-class dancing competitions. They give a lot support and valuable advice to us.

Submission of S.1 Discretionary Places (2017-18) application form has been closed on 18 January 2017. Selected applicants will be invited to attend an interview on 18 March 2017 (Sat) 8:25 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
The letter of interview will be sent on 10 March 2017 (Friday) to individual applicants. Details of the interview will be provided in the letter. Please arrive on time.

Fund Raising Day 2017
The Walkathon was held successfully on 17th February 2017. The aim of the Walkathon was to raise money for the financial support of the Student Association and making the school magazines. There were a variety of activities on the Walkathon, including game booths, film appreciation, class games, writing counter, body painting and lucky draw.
St. Paul’s Feast Day cum Presentation of External Prizes of the First Term
On St Paul’s Feast Day, we celebrated the conversion of our patron saint, St. Paul, to Christianity. In addition to learning the virtues of St. Paul, we also congratulated our students on their achievements in various external activities and competitions.

Swimming Gala 2016
Swimming Gala is a bi-annual event organized alternatively with the Athletic Meet to arouse our students’ interest and let them unleash their potential in swimming. The event also fosters team spirit, encourages the pursuit for excellence, and more importantly reminds every one – the athletes, student officials and audience – the importance of integrity and sportsmanship.
English Debate Competition
The English Debate Competition was held successfully at Fukien Secondary School. We debated on the motion ‘The Hong Kong government should significantly increase financial incentives for families to have more children’. our students gave their speech wholeheartedly and was the winning team.

Hong Kong Special Olympics 40th Anniversary Invitational Games
Hong Kong Special Olympics 40th Anniversary Invitational Games (香港特殊奧運會四十週年邀請賽) was held successfully on the 26 and 27 of November. Swimmers with intellectual disability form different country such as Korea, Taiwan, and Mongolia had come to Hong Kong Shing Mun Valley Swimming Pool to participate in this competition.
Around 70 students of our school also took part on the event as volunteer helpers. It is a remarkable experience for them as well as an achievement in our school motto, ”All things to all people.”
A Grade Inter-school Volleyball Competition 2016
Our A Grade Volleyball Team claimed championship against St. Catharine's School For Girls (Kwun Tong) in the Inter-school Volleyball Competition (Kln, Div 2) last Saturday! It was an intense competition, with our Team narrowly winning 2-0. Congratulations to our A Grade for their tremendous effort!The games for B grade will be starting soon. Let’s wish our B grade as well as C grade the best in their games!
The Caritas Bazaar is held on Sunday, 13th November in Mongkok Fa Hui Park. It is organized by the Caritas Hong Kong aiming to help the needy in our community. ‘Give them a ray of hope’. There are total 6 booths located at the third street selling different products including toys, stationeries and accessories. Sisters, teachers and schoolmates come to support S5 and S4 students who have been working hard on selling and raising the money for the needy at the same time. Paulinians put the school motto ‘all things to all people’ into practice.
English Activity Day
The annual English Activity Day was held on 28 Oct. We were very honoured to have invited Mr Simon Tham, former Chief Curriculum Development Officer (NET), to be the adjudicator. Mr Tham’s valuable advice will help our students better prepare for the Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival. All the participants shared their fruits of hard work and had an enjoyable morning.

Student Association Election
The SA election was held successfully. We had three cabinet: Kepler, Terzetto and Gufra. Lastly, Kepler became the Student Association of this year. They will be serving our students with sincerity and be the bridge between the school and the students.
St. Paul's School (Lam Tin) Parent Teacher Association Announcement
The nomination period for the Executive Committee of St. Paul’s School (Lam Tin) Parent Teacher Association election ended with just as many nominees as the number of posts listed in the constitution. All the nominees are automatically elected. Consequently, the ballot opening originally scheduled on 24th Sept 2016 is cancelled.

St John Inter-Divisional Competition
St. Paul’s School Lam Tin Nursing Cadet Division joined the Annual Inter-Divisional Competition and have received Champion in First Aid Competition and Uniform Inspection, 2nd runner up in Home Nursing competition and Footdrill competition and the overall result rank 2nd in all participating teams. Congratulations for the success.
Post-exam Study Tours
To let our students enrich their world knowledge and soft skills through learning about the history and the latest developments of the countries, as well as having cultural exchange with the local students, our school organized different study trips to different countries before and during summer holiday.

Congratulations to Sonja Choi of 4E! She was selected as one of the ten HKSAR outstanding students of 2016 for her outstanding qualities in academic performance, extra-curricular activities, community services, leadership and self-awareness.

Through studying the works of the artists and taking pictures of disappearing objects they chose, our students reflected on and shared their views about the past and future development of Hong Kong, their dreams, as well as the meaning of life.
Visiting the Hong Kong International Airport
On 12/5/2016, S5 Visual Arts’ students visited the Hong Kong International Airport. During the visit, students had a better understanding about the daily operation and the design of the airport. Also, they were more familiarized with the construction of the three-runway system.

Robotics Talk and Lessons
On October 2015, we have invited Robotic Institute of Hong Kong to introduce robotic education and development to our junior form students. On November 2015, our school Robotic team was established and we have recurited 15 members. Through the lessons provided by the Robotic Institute of Hong Kong, our members learnt how to build a Lego Robot and write program to control their moves.
On Feburary 2016, five of our Robotic team members joined the Robofest Unknown mission competition. During the competition, they are asked to decide a Robot that can draw a specific picture. Our students earn a lot of experience through this competition. We are planning to join the Lego Space Mission competition on July 2016.
Drama Afternoon at Nord Anglia International School
Through the collaboration of teachers from both schools, S.5 Literature in English students from SPSLT and Year 8 drama students from Nord Anglia International School were able to interact with each other in an afternoon of fun drama activities. Apart from exciting physical drama games, students also demonstrated their appreciation for classic drama by performing short versions of Shakespeare plays: Nord Anglia put on Twelfth Night while SPSLT presented Othello. Students exchanged feedback for each other’s performances under a relaxing and cheerful atmosphere.
EDB Gifted Education Air Pollution Project (2015/16 Pullout Programme)
Some of our student joined the EDB gifted education air pollution project workshop and completed a project concerning the air pollution in Hong Kong.
